BYD, the world’s leading manufacturer of new-energy vehicles, has earned a maximum five-star Green NCAP rating for its next introduction to the European market, the ATTO 2.
Designed to be BYD’s most accessible all-electric SUV in Europe, the new compact model has been awarded a total score of 96% in the independent test, which measures key attributes such as energy efficiency and Well-to-Wheel+ greenhouse gases. With a 130kW front-mounted motor, a kerbweight of just over 1,500kg, an official WLTP range of 312km and a host of intelligent technologies, the car impressed the Green NCAP evaluators with its overall efficiency. “With an average score of 96%, the new compact BYD easily collects all five Green stars,” the Green NCAP report concludes.
Testers also highlighted a particularly strong performance in the Cold Ambient Test, where the ATTO 2’s standard heat pump assisted the capacity of the air conditioning system and delivered a quicker warm-up period compared with other vehicles evaluated by Green NCAP.
The ATTO 2 is an urban-focused B-SUV, giving BYD a strong presence in one of Europe’s largest vehicle segments. Further details on the ATTO 2 and its class-leading innovations will be revealed when it makes its public debut at the Brussels Motor Show in January, and sales of the car will start in European markets in the first quarter of 2025.
We warmly invite you for the BYD Press Conference on Friday January 10th 2025 at 09.20h on the BYD booth – hall 7.
